Pure -> Divine ->Holy - > Aura Park

 

Last week I got a chance to see my friend Mr. Ambareesh Ghatate's 'Aura Park'. It’s located on Nagpur-Amravati road, 5 km to the right of Bazargaon. This is a Medicinal Plants project right next to the village of Kathalabodi. On way you are welcomed by the teak trees on both sides of the road. It surely is a pleasing site !!!

Once inside the project, you realize that you are transferred to a different world. Mr. Ambareesh Ghatate and his team  have been working hard for the last 7  to 8  years to conserve, grow and propagate different medicinal plants in this vast nursery. They also take lot of efforts to explain the benefits to the guests consisting of students from various professional colleges of Nagpur.

Now you all may ask what is so big deal about this ‘Aura Park’?!! 😏

There are a lot of medicinal plant producers in the region......What’s so special??😒

Being from the field of tourism, I have sent lot of clients  and their families to have 'fun' at the water park near the same project.

But why do I value this 'Aura park' more than the ‘Water park’ ??

My family and friends know that my choices are specific. But sometimes ‘special’ experiences make me write about it, just like this one !!!

The definition of enjoying holidays is different for people here and it has been observed that the preferences change along with the region. I have been observing the trend for long and accordingly that has shaped my thoughts.

But I really want to change that definition now !!!

Today my clients are spread all over Maharashtra, Nagpur, Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, Kolhapur…..and the adjoining states.

Everyone has been enjoying their holidays and have been sharing their joyous moments with me.

What has been bothering me is the value being generated from these moments and the happiness gained from it?

The visit to the ‘Aura Park’ has been a defining moment for me. I was introduced to the intricacies of the Medicinal Herbs, Shrubs, Plants, Flowers and got the exposure of the vast knowledge Ayurveda gives us. You name the part of the tree like the leaves, flowers, roots, and twigs ….each one has multiple role to play for the  health of the mankind.

Mr.Ambareesh shares an interesting experience. Once a family came here because of the name 'Park'. They expected something new like the water park next door. But, they were disappointed to see nothing like that. The team  members present  judged the situation and  had a chat with the family and took them on the short tour of the project. He shared the valuable information of how these plants were beneficial to each one of us. The end result was overwhelming. The family not only felt sorry for their initial reaction but also wrote their positive thoughts on the visitor register.

Mr.Ambareesh and his team have a daunting task on hand. Once the visitors come, all  are busy

sharing information about 400-500 medicinal plants,  flowers, roots in their friendly and entertaining way.

One such great activity is 'Nakshatra Van', which immediately gets you connected with the thought process of the ’Aura Park’ ... you really get to know the true identity.

When I reached here, the first thing I noticed was the aroma of all these plants. I assure you that you all  will feel the same. You are greeted with the very special ‘Aura Tea’- the welcome drink. Another unforgettable experience at the delicious 'Aura Soup'. Many of the herbs grown on the project are used in your salads and vegetables as you relish the lunch.

An interesting work they have been doing is to conserve and propagate the plants which were on the verge of extinction.

In short, once you take a stroll at ‘Aura Park’ you are assured of good health and  at the same time you get  the tastiest of the meals you can enjoy in the forest. The introduction of each tree gives a different meaning to our thoughts.

Many of us are victim of lifestyle and would like to rectify this. ‘Aura Park’ is the right place for regaining the healthy lifestyle on the right track. I am sure this project slowly but slowly blossoms into a ‘Wellness Center’ in the near future.

Its  a project every Nagpurian should feel proud about and should strongly recommend this their friends and relatives residing in other cities. It has become necessary for the  people like you and me to gain knowledge about these rare plants and its health benefits.

Its an ideal option for the students of Pharmacy, Botany, Ayurved and many others interested in this subject. Looking at the tourism aspect, it definitely falls under the special category of ‘Wellness’.  

A word of caution – this place is not for fun-seeking people. 

But, for those who are serious about their health and for those who are supporters  and admirers of our  great ‘Ayurvedic Tradition’.
